Pope Francis has reduced his schedule after WYD. During the first full week back in Rome, he will only have one official meeting.
There will be no General Audience on Wednesday, August 16. But, the Pope will meet with pilgrims the day before to pray the Angelus on the Solemnity of the Assumption of Mary.
The only official meeting that has been confirmed for the week is on Thursday. Pope Francis will meet with the president of Madagascar, a country the Pope visited in 2019.
The month of August began with the papal trip to Lisbon and it will end with yet another visit. From August 31 to September 4, Pope Francis will travel to Mongolia.
