During his meeting with the volunteers from World Youth Day, one young man explained that each volunteer had visited someone in need and written their name on bracelet to wear throughout the week.
He then greeted the Pope with two young girls. One presented Pope Francis with a bracelet and put it on his wrist.
We visited hospitals, prisons, nursing homes, supporting centers for people with disabilities. To bring the visited people with us, we asked each one to write their name on a bracelet. That bracelet with the name of the visited person was on the wrists of our volunteers for the week of the World Youth Day.
Holy Father, with this gesture, we did what you asked of us at this World Youth Day—not to forget that we have a name that God calls, to know that with this name we can change the world without fear and to know that to change the world, we have to have roots because for God and for the Pope everyone matters. Everyone, everyone.
