Pope Francis has sent a video just 40 days ahead of his trip to Lisbon to participate in the WYD, where he will be present, although some thought he would not because of his health. He showed his backpack and encouraged young people to prepare themselves to live these days with 'courage'.
POPE'S VIDEO MESSAGE TO THE YOUNG:
To you, all young people, who are preparing to go to Lisbon or will accompany the WYD from afar. But the meeting is a point of attraction for everyone. Right now, it is the point we have to look at. Young people have to look, you young people, have to look forward.
There are 40 days left, just like Lent until you reach the meeting in Lisbon. I´m prepared. I already have everything with me because I have a lot of desire to go. Some think that, because of my illness I cannot go, but the doctor told me I can go, so I will be with you. Move on young people, do not give importance to those who reduce life to ideas. Poor people. They have lost the joy of life and the joy of encounter. Pray for them.
But you, with all your life, with the three languages of life: the language of the head, the language of the heart and the language of the hands. The language of the head to think clearly what we feel and what we do; the language of the heart to feel very deeply, what we think and what we do; and the language of the hands to do effectively what we feel and what we think. Onward: courage and up to Lisbon.
