According to the Vatican Press Office, Pope Francis' condition is progessively improving. During his third day in Rome's Gemelli Hospital, the Pope had breakfast and was able to move to an armchair to read newspapers and resume working.
The medical staff say Pope Francis does not have a fever and is no longer on IVs. In the afternoon, he spent time in prayer and received the Eucharist.
In a tweet, the Pope expressed his gratitude for all the messages, prayers and support he has received since he was hospitalized on June 7.
