World Youth Day in Lisbon is just two months away. Around the world, each city is preparing for the pilgrimage in a different way. In Spain, the Archdiocese of Seville has created a music festival to fundraise to send their youth to Lisbon.

I believe that the year deserved it. We are very close to Lisbon, the response of the youth in the Archdiocese has been spectacular and deserved a young event. An event that would be a meeting point in this path of preparation.

The Archdiocese is preparing for the first concert of the five concert series. One of the performances will feature the youth music group Hakuna and all will be held in the famous bullfighting arena known as the Maestranza.

We are often asked if we want the festival to continue and be held in the coming years. It would be a great thing, and a precious fruit. But we always say that for being the first one, we have aimed very high. Where are we going to celebrate the next one?

The Archdiocese of Seville offered 800 spots for World Youth Day in Lisbon. Within 10 days, every spot was filled. Now, there are already more than 2,500 youth registered throughout the city, making it the second city in Spain with the most young people attending, only trailing behind Madrid.
