The Vatican released the topics that were discussed at Pope Francis' last meeting with the Council of Cardinals.
One of the focuses was on the wars around the world and the need for the Church to be involved in peace building.
The group also discussed the upcoming Synod of Bishops and the need to better explain the apostolic constitution, Praedicate Evangelium, so that it can be implemented more effectively.
This was the first meeting of the new group of cardinals chosen by the Pope to advise him on the governance of the Church and the Curia. Among the new additions are the Archbishop Fernando Vérgez, President of the Vatican Governorate, the Archbishop of Kinshasa, Fridolin Ambongo Besungu, and the Archbishop of Quebec, Gérald Lacroix.
The next meeting will be held in June.
