Leaning out of the window of the papal apartments, Pope Francis expressed his concern for the worsening conflict in Sudan.

Unfortunately, the situation in Sudan remains serious. I therefore renew my appeal for a rapid end to the violence and a return to the path of dialogue. I invite everyone to pray for our Sudanese brothers and sisters.
He also asked for prayers for his upcoming trip to Hungary—Ukraine's neighboring country—which he will make from April 28-30.

It will also be a journey to the center of Europe, over which the icy winds of war continue to blow, while at the same time the displacement of many people puts urgent humanitarian issues on the agenda.
At the end of the Angelus, the Pope said farewell to those present and wished them a happy Sunday.
