Pope Francis met with members of the Papal Foundation: the only charitable organization in the United States whose sole focus is fulfilling the requests of the Pope for the needs of the Church.
Over the past 35 years, the Papal Foundation has donated over $200 million in grants and scholarships for students and charitable projects around the world.
In the meeting, Pope Francis expressed his gratitude for their work and emphasized two very important aspects of his mission.

Unity and transperancy.
Unfortunately, we see even in our day how the unity of the Church is wounded by division. And the devil is a specialist in fighting against unity. He is a specialist!
The Pope encouraged the Foundation members to stand up against division and applauded their efforts to maintain measures of transparency.
The Papal Foundation has funded over 2,000 projects for the past three popes, including the construction of hundreds of churches, seminaries, schools, and hospitals.
