Pope Francis sent a telegram signed by the Secretariat of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, to the victims of the March 27 shooting in Nashville, Tennessee.
In the message, the Pope expressed his “heartfelt condolences and the assurance of his prayers” to everyone impacted by the shooting. He specifically prayed for the grieving families.
It was one of the last messages Pope Francis sent before he was admitted to the Gemelli Hospital in Rome on March 29.
