In a video message with his prayer intentions for the month of April, Pope Francis calls for the creation of a “culture of peace.”

He points out that “living, speaking, and acting without violence” does mean “surrendering, losing or giving up.” Rather it means “aspiring to everything.”

Pope Francis says that “lasting peace can exist only without weapons.” The Pope urges both nations and individuals to “resort less and less to the use of arms” to achieve the ultimate goal of peace.
