Pope Francis continues to ask for prayers for those affected by the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey. He noted that it is important for a Christian to be attentive to those suffering around the world.

POPE FRANCIS
Brothers and sisters, let us not forget those who suffer and let our charity be attentive to others; let it be a concrete charity!

In fact, the Pope asked pilgrims not to stop praying for the people of Ukraine and for those suffering around the world. For example, New Zealand suffered a devastating cyclone that left 5,000 people missing and more than 60,000 homes without electricity.

From the window of the papal apartments, Pope Francis also reflected on the readings of the day and what it means that God's love is free.

POPE FRANCIS
Here, God loves us while we are sinners, not because we are good or able to give something back to Him. Brothers and sisters, God's love is a love always in excess.

The Pope, as he usually does every Sunday, extended a welcome to several groups of pilgrims present in the Square.
