The Vatican has a sports association made up of some of it's employees. Pope Francis met with the group, encouraging them to be an example for the rest of the Holy See staff.

Your way of teamwork and collaboration can be an example for the work in and among the Dicasteries of the Curia and the Directorates of the Vatican State. Once again, sport is a metaphor for life.
The Pope also recalled that in the sixteenth century, Pope Leo X attended a match of the so-called 'Florentine soccer.' This is a sport that pits the four historic districts of Florence against each other. The game consists of elements of today's soccer, rugby and wrestling.
