Pope Francis received the First Lady of Colombia, Veronica Alcocer, at the Apostolic Palace. She told the Pope about her efforts to achieve what she calls 'total peace' in the country.

Alcocer also gave Pope Francis a Miraculous Medal, something to which Colombians are very devoted.
The Pope blessed some rosaries and gave the First Lady a ceramic tile with the image of St. Peter's Basilica made in the Vatican workshops.
At the end of the meeting, Pope Francis said goodbye to the First Lady, asking for her prayers.
