In a chapel in the Crypt of the Popes under the main Basilica, workers set up a system of bars and beams, preparing the tomb for the Pope emeritus Benedict XVI's coffin following the funeral.
The tomb is in a chapel close to the tomb of St. Peter the Apostle and the tomb of Pope John Paul I.
