It was all smiles in the Vatican as Venezuela's new Ambassador to the Holy See, the theologian Ian Torres, presented his credentials to Pope Francis.
The Pope gave him the significant texts of his pontificate, and in return the ambassador gave him a copy of his own book, analyzing Latin American communities through biblical studies.
This is my book, which was published as my doctoral thesis in biblical theology from the Gregorian [University].
The Pope then offered the ambassador and his family his blessing, before meeting privately with the new ambassador.
