November 2 marks the solemnity of All Souls, celebrating the memory of all those who have died. This day is dedicated to praying for these souls with the hope of one day seeing them again in Heaven.

Memory and hope. Hope to see our loved ones again. Hope to reach where the love that created us is, where the love that awaits us is, the love of the Father.
Traditionally on this day, Pope Francis visits one of the many cemeteries in Rome. This year, he will not make the visit. Maybe due to his knee problems or to have time to rest before his trip to Bahrain on November 3.
The Pope will also preside over a Mass in St. Peter's Basilica particularly remembering all the cardinals who have died this year.
