The World Youth Day Local Organizing Committee met in Rome with representatives from Bishops' Conferences and youth groups from around the world.
For two days, the committee has been looking for ways to encourage participation in the first mass event organized by the Church since the pandemic and the war in Ukraine.
The organizers have emphasized the themes of sustainability, interreligious dialogue and the inclusion of people with disabilities—to ensure that no one is excluded from World Youth Day. To encourage sustainability, almost nothing will be printed for the event.
