Pope Francis received members of the Spanish Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs in a private audience.
The Pope urged companies to seek ways to avoid polluting nature. He also stressed to entrepreneurs the importance of caring for the 'common home' through the economy.
POPE FRANCIS
In a context as complex as the present one, characterized by war and environmental crisis, it is up to you to carry out your service, let's say as prophets, to proclaim and build up the common home, respecting all forms of life, caring for the good of all and promoting peace.
In addition to meeting with the president and vice-president of the Spanish employers' association, Antonio Garamendi and Lorenzo Amor, a group of Galician businessmen attended the audience. Pope Francis also conveyed his interest in traveling to Santiago de Compostela.
JUAN MANUEL VIEITES
President, Conf. Empresarios de Galicia
I am leaving with the hope that the Holy Father
has in his mind the desire to go to Santiago de Compostela and that for Catholics, everything that is the Way of St. James, is seen as something fundamental.
Vieites added that Pope Francis appeared to be in good health despite his knee problems and he hopes that the Pope will soon be able to go to Santiago de Compostela.
