It's named Birth Choice—a resource center serving the needs of women and families far beyond birth, with free services including ultrasounds, parenting classes, counseling, and material assistance.
In Dallas—where the 1973 Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision originated—Birth Choice shares a parking lot with one of the biggest abortion facilities in the state of Texas.
Four months after the U.S. Supreme Court reversed the constitutional right to abortion, this local pregnancy resource clinic recognizes the hard work is not yet done.

Director of Development, Birth Choice Dallas
Each person is going to have to come to terms with their situation in an unplanned pregnancy, regardless of what the law is. We will always celebrate law in favor of life—that’s not what I’m getting at—but at the end of the day, that’s not going to solve the problem.
Since the Supreme Court decision, Birth Choice has seen a significant increase in support from donors and volunteers, but have also experienced a change in client behavior.

Director, Birth Choice Dallas
We’ve seen, even an increase in the amount of clients asking for aid and help. At the same time, going through a recession and an economic downturn, because of the opposition to life and the way that they view their values, that makes things harder on people. So that financial decision, “can I afford a child”, this and that, continues to pressure them in that way.
Birth Choice believes in changing the narrative of the term “pro-life” to a culture of life, encompassing caring for women far beyond abortion.
AARON FOWLER
Director, Birth Choice Dallas
We identify as a culture of life, instead of just in opposition to abortion. Abortion is a symptom of the culture of death. If abortion is not legal in my state, that does not mean the culture of life work, let alone, is over, it just means it moves and changes and has another outlet.
Although abortion is currently illegal in certain U.S. states, Birth Choice affirms that the dignity and value of each client goes far beyond any legislation.
