In the video message featuring his prayer intentions for the month of October, Pope Francis said that God expects the Church of the Third Millennium to be able to walk together. He explained that, “a Church with this synodal style is a Church of listening.”
The Pope also reiterated that the synod is not a democratic or opinion-gathering process. He concluded that “the synod is not a survey; it is about listening to the Holy Spirit, it is about praying.”
