In the Apostolic Palace, Pope Francis greeted members of the Schoenstatt Fathers.
During the meeting, the recently elected General Superior, Father Alexandre Awi Mello, greeted Pope Francis. Fr. Mello has served as the secretary for the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life for the last five years.
Dear Pope Francis, in the last few years, I have been present at several of your audiences.
Pope Francis spoke to the priests about how the world looks to them for answers and he reminded them of the importance of family life.

We often see that the nature of the family is attacked by various ideologies that shake the foundations that support the personality of the human being and, in general, the whole of society. Moreover, within the family, there is often a gap of understanding between the elderly and the young.
The Schoenstatt Fathers, who had gathered in Rome for their General Chapter, were founded in 1965 by German priest, Fr. Joseph Kentenich.
