Pope Francis' summer vacation has been anything but quiet. He made a 6 day trip to Canada at the end of July, which he described as exhausting.
POPE FRANCIS
But I think I have to limit myself and my efforts a little bit.
In July, the Pope normally suspends his audiences. However, this summer, he continued to hold some meetings, like this one with members of religious congregations.
Despite postponing his trip to the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan, he celebrated Mass with the Congolese community in Rome.
In August, he resumes his general audiences and meetings with different authorities and heads of state. He began the month by receiving the President of the Republic of Fiji.
In the last week of August, the Vatican will hold a Consistory. Pope Francis will create 20 new cardinals and speak to them about the new Apostolic Constitution.
