In a video featuring his prayer intentions for the month of August, the Pope asks for prayers 'that small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, hard hit by the economic and social crisis, may find the means necessary to continue their activity at the service of the communities in which they live.'
According to data from the World Bank, one in four businesses will lose half of their 2021 revenue because of the pandemic. In his video, Pope Francis praises those who 'with courage, effort and sacrifice, invest in life, creating prospertiy, opportunities and work.'
