When investing in a company, people tend to focus on the economic benefits rather than if its policies are in line with Catholic social doctrine.
Recognizing this challenge, Borja Barragan founded the Altum app, which can analyze about 3,500 companies and help people make moral investment decisions.

That's the reason forAltum App—so that anyone, anywhere in the world, before making an investment decision, can check whether or not that company conflicts with the Catholic Church's Magisterium by looking at any of the four pillars that we always analyze when researching a company. The four pillars are the promotion of life, family, human dignity, and the care and protection of creation.
The goal of the app is twofold—to help investors find companies that live out the moral principles promoted by the Church and to raise awareness about the moral aspect of investing among entrepreneurs.
The Altum app is inspired by the 2018 Vatican document “Economic and Financial Poblems.” It seeks to help everyday Catholics live out the faith in their families and in their investment choices.
