This choir is spreading awareness about an harsh reality with its explicit name. It is made up of these women who greeted Pope Francis wearing their attention-grabbing shirts. They are doctors, researchers, family members, and patients who have in one way or another suffered due to cancer.
They come from Casale Monferrato in Alessandria, a town in Italy whose inhabitants have suffered from exposure to asbestos, a carcinogenic building material that was manufactured there.

We treat rare tumors in our area. Together we formed this choir to say that there is life beyond the disease.
Earlier this year they wrote to the Pope to tell him their story, and he responded by invitating them to the Audience General.

[The Pope] told us to keep it up and to continue with this initiative that is good for all of us, for the patients, and also for the healthcare workers involved. So he has given us a reason to continue.
The choir has almost 30 members. They have organized musicals, concerts, and workshops to support cancer patients and raise funds for their care and treatment.
