Patricia Araya Gutiérrez presented her credentials to Pope Francis to officially become Chile's new ambassador to the Holy See.

Thank you so much, thank you.

It's a pleasure.

You are welcome here.

Thank you so much.

The new ambassador was joined by her husband and three children in receiving gifts from the Pope, which included the most significant texts of his papacy.

The most well-known is about climate, the environment, and then on human fraternity.

The Pope blessed the delegation before meeting privately with the Ambassador.

Their meeting comes just days after Oscar Munoz, a former priest and top aide to the archbishop of Santiago, was found guilty of sexual abuse and rape of minors. His was one of the many cases of abuse that came to light throughout Chile shortly after Pope Francis' visit to the country in 2018.
