Despite knee problems, Pope Francis continues to increase his number of international appointments. Papal trips include one to Africa in July as well as one to Kazakhstan, which is planned to be this September.
In Kazakhstan, the Pope will participate in the VII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions to be held in the country's capital, Nursultan.
Pope Francis himself confirmed this meeting with the president of the country, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in a video conference.
Also on the table is a trip to Canada, potentially at the end of July, and another trip to Lebanon.
In addition, the Vatican is working on the next face-to-face meeting of Patriarch Kirill and Pope Francis. One of the potential meeting places is none other than Jerusalem.
