Pope Francis was visibly moved after his weekly General Audience, when he presented a Ukrainian flag that came from Bucha, where retreating Russian troops committed atrocities among the local civilian population.
'Just yesterday, from Bucha, this flag was brought to me,' he said. After showing it, those present burst into loud applause. 'This flag comes from the war. It comes from that martyred city of Bucha.' The Pope then brought a group of Ukrainian children onstage who are staying in Italy.
