Holy See ambassadors attended a Mass for peace in Ukraine presided over by Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
The Vatican Secretary of State echoed the words of Pope Francis, who recently called the invasion of Ukraine more than just a military operation.
Cardinal Parolin also insisted that prayer can be an instrument for building peace, citing the Beatitudes as an example.
The Russian and Ukrainian ambassadors to the Holy See were among those who attended the Mass.
