Pope Francis will meet virtually with college students from North, Central, and South America in an event organized by Loyola University Chicago and the Pontifical Commission for Latin America, titled “Building Bridges North-South.”
During the event, described as a “synodal encounter between Pope Francis and university students,” the Pope will address the challenges facing young people today, and the students will share their concrete educational projects to work towards just environmental and economic realities.
The Pope's last meeting with students took place in Greece. There, he gave young people advice on how to live authentically.

The discussion will be opened by the Archbishop of Chicago, Cardinal Blaise Cupich, who was made a cardinal by Pope Francis in 2016, as well as the Head of Office of the Pontifical Commission for Latin America, Dr. Emilce Cuda of Argentina.
It will be a historic meeting between Pope Francis and university students, with the aim of promoting unity among young people from across the globe in tackling the world's biggest challenges head-on.
