Pope Francis has released a video with his prayer intention for the month of January: religious discrimination and persecution.
The Pope asks how society can allow that people are persecuted simply for professing their faith publicly, saying “Not only is it unacceptable; it’s inhuman, it’s insane.”
Pope Francis urges all to “appreciate others in their differences and recognize them as true brothers and sisters” through the many things all humans have in common.
“Let us choose the path of fraternity,” he says, “Because either we are brothers and sisters, or we all lose.”
