It's only one day before Christmas festivities begin. The meeting is when the Pope reflects on the past year and analyzes problems in depth. He usually also asks those gathered to do a self-analysis.

It will be a busy week for Pope Francis. On Wednesday, he will meet with a representative of the Patriarch of Moscow to prepare a possible meeting with Patriarch Kirill.
