The Archbishop of Bologna hopes Christians will again find in the Gospel the strength to live out their faith without isolating themselves from the rest of the world. He says this is the point on which the Pope insists.

He is working so the community and Christians do not isolate themselves from the world, but rather live with the beauty, with the power of the Gospel, of the spirit of the Gospel, in a moment as difficult as the one the world is currently in.
Cardinal Matteo Zuppi does not ignore today's global challenges. In fact, he participated in the difficult peace talks in Mozambique along with the Community of Sant'Egidio. Pope Francis made him a cardinal in October of 2019.
