The Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network presented the Click to Pray 2.0 app at the Vatican.
It's the newest edition of the Pope's prayer platform, which was established in 2016 to encourage people everywhere to pray for the Church's mission and the challenges society faces.
FR. FRÉDÉRIC FORNOS, S.J.
International Director of the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network
“Praying for one another is not a waste of time, as we may sometimes think. Just like it's not a waste of time to spend some time in silence next to someone we love or someone who is sick.”
The app is intended to be a tool to help Catholics everywhere actively participate in the synodal process.
FR. LUCIO RUIZ
Secretary, Dicastery for Communication
“It's very intelligent and creative to expand this process to digital media so that everyone, in different moments of the day, in different languages, in different parts of the world, in a simple and user-friendly way, can come together in prayer and feel like a fundamental part, at the center, of the synodal process.”
The Click to Pray 2.0 app allows users to follow Pope Francis' official account to keep up with his monthly intentions.
The latest version of the app includes a School of Prayer, where users can find tips and resources to help enrich their prayer. Users can also create a personalized prayer agenda to suit their needs.
BETTINA RAED
International Coordinator of Click to Pray
“The prayer schedule helps Click to Pray users organize the time and content about which they want to pray, based on their sensibilities, tastes and needs.”
Click to Pray has already reached more than 2.5 million people worldwide. The app is available in seven languages and can be downloaded for free from Google Play and the App Store.
