The Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, Card. Fernando Filoni, visited Prince Albert of Monaco at his residence.

After a long conversation, Card. Filoni conferred on the Sovereign of the Principality the insignia of Knight of the Collar of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre, a rare distinction bestowed upon people who have gone above and beyond to support the Order's mission to sustain the Christian presence in the Holy Land.

But the Prince wasn't the only one to be recognized. Prince Albert conferred on the Grand Master the insignia of Grand Officer of the Order of Grimaldi.

“Thank you.”

They exchanged a number of gifts. And Prince Albert presented Card. Filoni with a check for the Order.

“Thank you very much for your generosity. We will give this to the Holy Land.”

Then the Prince and the Grand Master spent some moments praying in the palace chapel. Surrounded by the beauty of Monaco, they made their way to the gardens for a reception. Card. Filoni thanked the Prince for supporting the mission of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre.
