The Pope met with the Archbishop of Canterbury, the main leader of the Anglican Church.
On Twitter, Abp. Justin Welby shared the content of their conversation. He called the Pope a “brother” and said they “prayed about the urgent need for peace between people and our planet.”
The meeting began with this gesture.
-'Excuse me...'
-'Oh, no, no, no...'
Their meeting was cordial, as shown with the gifts that were exchanged.
The Pope gave the Archbishop of Canterbury a book about his prayer during the pandemic in an empty St. Peter's Square.
-“It has been such a difficult period.”
The Archbishop offered the Pope 20 beekeeping courses for women in need.
Archbishop Welby supports a campaign called “Bees Abroad” where women from places like Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda are taught a profession.
