Only moments after arriving in Budapest, Pope Francis met with the President of Hungary, János Ader, and the country's prime minister, Viktor Orbán.
Though he wasn't able to hear him clearly the first time around.
“Thank you very much for your visit.”
On Facebook, Orbán says he asked the Pope to not let Christianity die out in Hungary.
It was a very brief and cordial encounter.
The Hungarian president mostly spoke with the Pope, while the prime minister spent more time with the Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.
The meeting only lasted 15 minutes, since the Pope did not travel to Hungary for a state visit, but to celebrate the closing Mass of the International Eucharistic Congress.
