“Her rich personality made her into a prophet, a witness, a founder and role model, and above all a mother full of love for her sons and daughters.”
That's how the Archbishop of Turin spoke about Mother Trinidad, the founder and president of the Work of the Church, an institution of pontifical right. She died on July 28 in Rome.
The Work of the Church that she founded is for lay people and priests. Their mission is to help bishops and the Pope sustain and expand the Church. They put a lot of emphasis on catechism.
Mother Trinidad's charism was immense and tenacious. In 1959, she founded the institution and worked tirelessly until, in 1997, it became an institution of political right.

“I still remember that Dec. 7. That day, thanks to God's infinite mercy, I was chosen to put myself exclusively at his service.”
Mother Trinidad's vocation became clear one Dec. 7, when she was 17 years old. She committed herself entirely to God and became a tireless catechist. Nearly 1,000 of her talks are preserved as videos or audios.

“And we are here to thank God with all our soul and with all our heart, together with my sons and daughters, for the immense gifts that, in his infinite mercy, the infinite has granted the Church.”
Starting in 1963, Mother Trinidad established more than 40 houses to carry out her work. First in Spain and then in other countries, including Burkina Faso, Uganda, Angola and India.
