Noel Díaz returns to Rome to see Pope Francis. The founder of ESNE Television and Radio still remembers his first meeting with the Pope, when he cleaned Pope Francis' shoes during a flight to Mexico and Cuba.
It was a symbolic gesture, as that's how Díaz had started his professional career. What he didn't know was that Pope Francis would always remember that moment and invite him to the Vatican on several occasions.

“After that experience, he wrote to me and invited me to visit him. My first visit was in Santa Marta. The others in different places, including the Apostolic Palace.”
During their first meeting, Pope Francis gave Díaz a mission. Now Díaz is returning to Rome to update the Pope on how his media team is carrying it out.

“First I will tell him about 'El Sembrador's' ongoing mission. I'll tell him what we've already accomplished and what we have yet to do. So first I'll update him on how the mission is going. The first time I met him was during his trip to Mexico and Cuba. He asked me to deliver a message: 'Tell your team to come out of the shadows.' So our mission today remains to use the means the Lord gave us to spread the Gospel message.”
Díaz's next meeting with the Pope will be on Thursday, Aug. 12. The founder of ESNE Television and Radio says his station's viewers and listeners are sure to tune in.
