Pope Francis has been cleared by his doctors to leave the hospital.

On Wednesday he was discharged from the hospital at 10:30 in the morning.
The Vatican published this picture of a stop he made before returning home to Casa Santa Marta. After leaving the hospital the Pope went to the Basilica of Saint Mary Major to pray before an icon of Rome's patron saint.
The Holy See press office reported that the Pope gave thanks for the success of his operation and prayed for the sick people he saw in the hospital.
This video published on Twitter shows that the Pope stopped before entering the Vatican to greet the police officers standing out front.
Pope Francis does not have any official events scheduled until Sunday, when he will return to the window in the papal apartment building to pray the Angelus with pilgrims gathered in St. Peter's Square.
