Br. Massimo Fusarelli is the new Minister General of the Order of Friars Minor. His election by the Order's General Chapter was announced in Rome on July 13.

In a message published by the Vatican, Pope Francis congratulated Br. Massimo for his new appointment as the 121st successor of St. Francis of Assisi, the founder of the Order.
The Pope assured Br. Massimo of his blessing and prayers, that the Lord may guide him in his new role.
