The latest medical update on the Pope's health is positive.
According to a Vatican communique, the Pope was running a temperature on Wednesday evening. But on Thursday morning, routine examinations, including a chest and abdomen CAT scan, ruled out any chance of internal bleeding and gave no reason for concern.
The Pope continues with regular treatment and is eating on his own.
On Wednesday afternoon, Pope Francis sent affectionate greetings to other patients in the pediatric oncology and children's neurosurgery wards of the Gemelli Hospital. He continues to express his closeness to all those who are sick.
