Pope Francis sent this message to participants at the annual meeting of Argentina's Christian Association of Business Executives.

One of the founders of this group of Argentine entrepreneurs is Enrique Shaw, whom Pope Francis declared venerable in April.

POPE FRANCIS
'I have here the program for your meeting, and I cannot hide the joy I felt a short time ago in signing for the heroic virtue of Enrique Shaw'.

The theme of the meeting was “Toward a more humane capitalism.” So Pope Francis insisted on building an ethical economy, which he explained is the responsibility of every entrepreneur.

POPE FRANCIS
'Investing in the common good, not hiding money in tax havens. Investing. Investment means giving life, creating, it is creative. Knowing how to invest, not to hide'.

This association has two main objectives: to instill Christian values in business ventures and to serve the common good.
