Before his General Audience the Pope exchanged many touching moments with pilgrims.
The Barraco family came from Turin to see the Pope, and they were not disappointed...

'We managed to do it, we got in and we were able to see the Pope. It was very emotional. He even asked little Antonella here what her name was and held her hand. It was a beautiful moment for our family'.
Meeting the Pope is an experience like no other, but it is particularly profound for young people of faith.

'It was exciting for someone who lives in this time where there is not a lot of faith among young people, so to so to experience this very religious encounter is really touching, it really speaks to you'.
Pietro Barraco says he hopes the experience will be fundamental in shaping his daughters' faith, and that it's a memory they won't soon forget.

'When they get older, my daughter Andrea here and Antonella who is four years old, in 20 years they will say my parents took me to see the Pope, and maybe it will make them have even more faith when they get older, more faith than us'.
Now the Barraco family will return home to Turin renewed in their faith and inspired by their encounter with the Pope.
