In the middle of the emotionally charged ceremony, this imposing mosaic of the new Blessed was unveiled.
The Schola Cantorum of Venezuela and the Gran Mariscal of Ayacucho symphony orchestra interpreted moving songs about the life of the doctor of the poor.
This is the first time a Venezuelan layman is beatified. The ceremony took place in a chapel in the La Salle school. About 150 people were present.
