For one hour on Holy Saturday, the Holy Shroud of Turin was exposed.
This relic is put on display only under extraordinary circumstances and during special anniversaries.
The last time was a year ago, but also only for one hour.
The bishop of Turin, Cesare Nosiglia, was evidently moved while he prayed before the relic.
It wasn’t technically an exposition, since it was very brief and only the bishop could get close.
But the moment was broadcast by televisions all over the world, and it allowed millions of people to see many details of the Shroud up close.
No other expositions are scheduled at the moment. Maybe in 2025 or later.
