Pope Francis named Professor Daniel Arasa a consultor of the Dicastery for Communication.
This 50-year-old Spanish journalist is familiar with the Church's institutional communications. He was part of the communications team for various World Youth Days. And he is currently the dean of the Institutional Social Communications Department at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross.

He is also an associate professor of digital and strategic communications at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross. And he's written several books on political and social topics.
From now on he will be in charge of directing communications at the Vatican during Pope Francis' pontificate.
