The 33º foreign trip of Pope Francis has started. He leaves Italy for the first time since the pandemic started. It is one of the most risky foreign trip, along with the trip he made to Central African Republic in 2015.
The 84-year-old pope, flies with his entourage, a security detail, and about 75 journalists. All of them vaccinated. In Iraq, all the events can host 100 people maximum unless the mass pope Francis will celebrate in Erbil.
