Former President of Argentina
“We spoke for an hour about a wide range of topics, and we agreed on everything. I agreed with him, not the other way around.

The warmth he transmits is impressive. He was happy to see Zulemita and the boys, whom he blessed and kissed.”

“He told us to take as many photos as we wanted. So we took a lot of pictures on our cellphone. It was a really nice visit.”

Jorge Mario Bergoglio and Carlos Menem had already met in Buenos Aires.

Menem led the country from 1989 to 1999. He left the presidency a little after Bergoglio was named archbishop of the capital of Argentina.
