The Catholic Music Digital Network recently launched the “SpotiCatólico” app. This app allows users to listen and download songs from over 500 registered catholic artists.

“What we want to do through this platform is to promote music and help people keep their spiritual life, their personal relationship with the Lord and their love for God, alive.”
Kervin Frómeta, the director of the project, says the vision behind this music project was directly inspired by a message of St. John Paul II on new evangelization.

“St. John Paul II told the faithful that we need to spread the Gospel in new ways with new expressions and a new enthusiasm.”
Kervin says that the goal of the app is to make Catholic music more accessible, help Catholic artists promote their music, and have users discover new music ministries worldwide.
He also wants users to share their favorite songs and hymns of praise. That’s why one of the app’s main features allows sharing songs with friends on social networks.
The app is free of charge since it uses Youtube and Spotify Search engines to stream music. If users wish to download songs, the app also allows this through iTunes and Amazon.

It is very easy to use. The search engine, for example, is very easy. People won’t have much difficulty finding music ministries. They just need to enter the name of a song or prayer. There will also be prayers; there are also ministries that accompany the music along with the prayer. So these prayers will also be available.
The SpotiCatolico is available in Spanish, English, and Portuguese. The app can be downloaded from Google’s Play Store for Android users, and it will be available on Apple’s App Store in December 2020.
